Borris Golf Club
One of the oldest scenic golf courses in Ireland it offers keen green fees as remains completely owned by its members. Founded in 1907, Borris Golf Club lies at the foot of Mount Leinster, It is situated within the Mac Murrough Kavanagh Estate and is a tree-lined course which is quite challenging.

Gowran Park 10 Minutes from the Step House
Incorporating a mixture of established woodland and lakes, this Jeff Howes designed par 71, 18 hole golf course provides and excellent test for the low handicap golfer whilst also being very enjoyable for the middle to high handicappers


Mount Juliet – 20 minutes from the Step House
Mount Juliet is Jack Nicklaus signature course and is one of the finest in the country.
Mount Juliet has hosted many major golfing events and welcomed the return of the World's Top 50 golfers to play in the World Golf Championship in 2004. It has also hosted the Irish open on three occasions.

Mount Wolsley – 30 minutes from the Step House
This Christy O'Connor designed golf course with its broad fairways and unforgiving rough has played host to a number of national and international golf competitions.
It encompasses mature parkland opened in 1995, with picturesque lakes filled with wildlife and fish and makes for an enjoyable but testing round of golf.

Carlow Golf Club – 25 minutes from the Step House
Nestling beneath the Killeshin Hills, Carlow Golf Club is a course of choice for golfers from all over the world with sand based fairways and greens it offers excellent year round golf.
