The Step House Hotel is the perfect intimate wedding venue in Carlow. It has been specifically designed to host the most romantic and personal weddings. Located just over one hour from Dublin the pretty heritage village of Borris is a magnificient setting with Mount Leinster peering in the distance and easy access to the River Barrow.

There are two facilities for wedding in the Step House. The first being the Ballroom Suite which cater for up to 180 guests. This elegantly designed room  has beautifully crafted French arched doors lead out onto the landscaped garden. Natural light fills the room with Mt. Leinster and the Blackstairs Mountains peering in the distance.

The second option is Rubens Restaurant. This award winning restaurant is designed for the more intimate wedding in Ireland. It can cater for up to 60 people and retireing to the opulent Residents Bar with historic artwork and open log fires creates the warm and intimate atmosphere desired. Exclusivity can be guranteed midweek only.

While the Step House has two potential venues for your guests we can guarantee that we will only ever have one wedding in the Hotel on any given day. Exceptional cuisine and traditional hospitality will leave friends and family with memories to treasure forever.

Food is the heart of the Step House experience and it is fast becoming one of the most sought after exclusive wedding venues in the south east of Ireland, with wedding couples traveling  from not only throughout Ireland but also further afield.
