Civil Ceremonies at The Step House hotel Carlow

The Step house Hotel are pleased to announce that we are now licensed to hold civil ceremonies.

In order to hold a Civil Ceremony, the wedding couple must first apply for approval to the Health Services Executive Civil Registration Office – Carlow in the case of the Step House hotel. Civil Registration Carlow town - Phone:  0599136300
 
What to do next?

• Approval is granted to each individual marriage on a case by case basis and is determined by a member of the Health Services Executive Civil Registration Office.
• A member of this team will meet with the Wedding couple and review their application.
• Applications should be to the Health Services Executive Office made at least three months before the wedding, however, it is advisable to apply as far in advance as possible to guarantee requested dates.

Where will the civil ceremony take place?

The civil ceremony can take place in the Garden Suite. The Wedding couple are welcome to view the hotel by contacting Angela our Wedding Coordinator.

Can my guests have a glass of champagne during the ceremony?
Unfortunately no food or beverage may be served or consumed in the ceremony room. However full bar & restaurant service is available before and after the ceremony.

How much does registration cost?
There is a notification fee of €150.00 which must be paid at the first meeting with the member of the Health Service Executive Civil Registration Office. Other charges may also apply, please contact the Carlow registrar for more details.
